The last thing you want is for the bottom of your cardboard box holding all of your finest china to fall out from under you, or for the bag holding all of your clothes to rip. This is why our team at Regency is here to provide you with quality packing materials to make your move go smoothly and stress free!
Our team can help you determine what boxes and how many will be right for your move. We understand that every family has unique needs for their big move, so we take the time to really understand and determine the packing materials that are perfect for you and your family.
Standard Packing Materials and Box Sizes
- Small Boxes: These are perfect for packing items like books, DVDs, CDs, and kitchen utensils or gadgets. They measure around 16" x 12" x 12"
- Medium Boxes: This size box is perfect for packing items like towels and decorative home items. These boxes measure around 18" x 16" x 18"
- Large Boxes: Large boxes are great for packing up items like small appliances, bedding, drapes, and smaller pillows. They typically measure about 18" x 18" x 24"
- Extra Large Boxes: Measuring around 24" x 20" x 24" extra large boxes are perfect for holding large lightweight items like pillows, comforters, and sports equipment.
Specialty Packing Materials
- Office/ File Boxes: These are small and medium boxes that typically have handles on the side along with removable tops
- Dish Pack: These are medium sized boxes with partitions to hold fragile items such as glasses and mugs
- Lamp: These boxes are perfect for protecting your lamps and other items that need to stand up during the move
- TV: If you happened to throw away your TV box then you will want one of these! Most are able to extend up to 70"
- Mirror and Picture: These boxes are thin and flat in order to hold artwork and mirrors and are typically adjustable to fit multiple sizes
- Wardrobe Boxes: These are boxes with a big rod across the top perfect for hanging clothes
Determining What and How Many Packing Materials you Need
The amount of boxes and packing materials you will need depends on the number of rooms in your home along with the amount of stuff you have in each room. For example if you live in an apartment with only two rooms then you may need 8 small boxes, 6 medium boxes, 4 large boxes, and 2 extra large boxes. However, if you have a home with eight or nine rooms you will need around 40 small boxes, 30 medium boxes, 30 large boxes, and 12 extra large boxes.
